Delta State Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has praised the peaceful and orderly conduct of the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives primary elections held across Delta State, calling the exercise a clear sign of the party’s unity, transparency, and growing strength ahead of the 2027 general elections.
After voting in his ward in Okpe Local Government Area during the Okpe/Sapele/Uvwie Federal Constituency primary, Oborevwori expressed satisfaction with both voter turnout and the calm atmosphere.

“You can see the peaceful manner in which the primary election for the House of Representatives in the Okpe/Sapele/Uvwie Federal Constituency was conducted. The people are happy, united and satisfied with the process,” the governor said.
He noted that the large turnout reflected increasing acceptance of the APC across the constituency and the state. Oborevwori added that he expects the same spirit of unity and peaceful coexistence to carry through to the general elections.
“I want to thank everyone who came out to participate in this primary election. Their presence and commitment show the strength and unity of our party. This demonstrates clearly that we have dedicated members who are ready to work for the party’s success in 2027,” he stated.
Party agents also commended the process. Chief Bernard Jagboro and Hon. Madis Emerorota, representing aspirants Hon. Ramson Onoyake and Mr. Odiate Obaro Emmanuel, praised the APC leadership for ensuring a free, fair, and transparent exercise. They credited Governor Oborevwori for providing a level playing field and thanked party members for their peaceful participation.

Hon. Ramson Onoyake was declared winner of the Okpe/Sapele/Uvwie Federal Constituency primary by returning officer Mr. Charles Aniagwu.
In Ndokwa West Local Government Area, Deputy Governor Sir Monday Onyeme commended the party’s use of the Option A4 voting system for the Onicha-Ukwuani primary. Speaking after casting his vote in Onicha-Ukwuani, Onyeme described the system as the most transparent and accountable method.
“If one wants to be truthful, this is the best form of election. Option A4 is the best for our country because secret balloting comes with a lot of deceit,” he said.
Hon. Nnamdi Ezechi was declared winner in the Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency.
The primaries were also peaceful in Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency. Chairman of the National Assembly Primaries Committee for Delta State, Rt. Hon. Eugene Odo, said the committee monitored several locations and found the process orderly and transparent.
“This is an actual public meeting and we have gone to some places to monitor the House of Representatives primaries in Delta State. So far, we have found that the primaries are going on peacefully. You can see that the collation process is going on peacefully,” Odo said. He attributed the smooth conduct to the party’s adoption of direct primaries, which allowed voting to proceed from ward level through local governments to federal constituency collation centres.
Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu emerged winner in Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency after results were collated at the Oshimili South Local Government Council secretariat. Declaring his victory, Elumelu called it a collective win for the people and pledged to deliver impactful representation.
