BURUTU: As the race for the Delta State House of Assembly, Burutu North Constituency 1 gathers momentum, the political aspiration of Hon. High Chief Godwin Masah, also known as Okadigbo of Burutu Politics, is drawing attention.
Masah, who is contesting on the platform of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), is entering a contest largely dominated by established political structures and well-resourced contenders.
Political observers in Burutu describe him as an underdog — a candidate perceived to be without the conventional machinery, financial muscle, and alliances often associated with frontline aspirants.
However, supporters of the candidate argue that political contests are not determined solely by structure and resources at the starting line. They point to conviction, resilience, and grassroots connection as defining factors in his campaign.
According to Charles Masah, who penned the original tribute, Hon. Masah’s aspiration is sustained by faith and perseverance, with a focus on ideas and commitment to the welfare of constituents in Burutu North.
The campaign is anchored on the message of capacity and collective participation, with the slogan “Let’s do it together because we can.”
Masah is seeking to represent Burutu North Constituency 1 in the Delta State House of Assembly.
