In response to public outcry over the ECN road’s deplorable condition , Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has unveiled plans to reconstruct the Road.
The Governor disclosed this during the 50th and 19th memorial celebration of late Chief and Madam Palama Akporhierayen in Udu Local Government Area
The Governor explained that his reason for the reconstruction of the road is to enhance urban mobility, unlock community potential, and stimulate economic growth across the state.
Oborevwori assured the people that the project would meet high standards of quality and be completed within a strict timeline emphasizing that ECN Road reconstruction aligns with his administration’s MORE Agenda which is prioritizing quality infrastructure as a catalyst for security, commerce, and improved quality of life.
He explained that the MORE Agenda focuses on building durable and sustainable infrastructure that supports economic growth and enhances living standards.

Oberevwori also promised that Udu Harbour Market project which was first awarded about 18 years ago is Expected to be inaugurated soon.
The Delta State Governor emphasized the importance of servant leadership, humility, accountability, and loyalty to the electorate .
He also stressed the importance of unity among the people of Udu, noting that sustainable development can only be achieved through collective effort and cooperation.
Oborevwori commended Sir Sheba Palama for honouring his parents through the memorial celebration, describing the gesture as a noble act that preserves family values and legacy
The people however applauded the Governor’s promise adding that the reconstruction of the ECN road and inauguration of UDU Harbour Market would eradicate the hardships it both have caused for residents, commuters, and businesses operating along that corridor.
