Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oberevwori, has expressed his unwavering support for President Bola Tinubu, urging the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, to convey this message to her husband.

Oberevwori emphasized that Delta State stands firmly behind the President and his reforms, saying, “Please tell our leader, Mr. President, that Delta State stands firmly with him and his reforms for a better nation. You can always count on our support”

The Governor made this statement during a grand homecoming reception held in honour of the First Lady at the palace of the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III.

Oberevwori praised Oluremi Tinubu’s commitment to the poor and vulnerable, describing her as a humble and compassionate leader.

He also highlighted her efforts in empowering women and youths, including the distribution of 10,000 professional kits to midwives across the South-South region

Some of her notable initiatives include:
– *Renewed Hope Initiative*: Empowering women and youths across the six geopolitical zones to support economic reforms
– *Economic Empowerment Programme*: Providing grants to women petty traders, including a N50 million package for 1,000 women in Delta State
– *Free to Shine*: Strengthening healthcare delivery through professional kits distribution to midwives

The First Lady’s visit to Delta State marked her third official visit within two years, showcasing her dedication to the region.

She’s also received international recognition, including participation at the 4th National Prayer Congress in the United States

Oberevwori’s expression of support comes amid his recent defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC) alongside other prominent politicians from Delta State.

The Governor has pledged to work closely with the President, citing the love and support Tinubu has shown to Delta
