The Delta Online Publishers Forum (DOPF) has celebrated its Vice Chairman, Elder Chukwudi Abiandu on the occasion of his 70th birthday, describing him as a towering figure in journalism and public communication.
In a statement signed by its Secretary, *Shedrack Onitsha, Fcism, Mnipr*, DOPF said Elder Abiandu has dedicated over three decades to journalism, media consultancy, and nation-building.
The Forum noted that as Publisher of *Banneronlinenews* and a veteran media practitioner, Elder Abiandu has distinguished himself through balanced reporting, insightful analysis, and commitment to ethical journalism.
“DOPF recognizes his immense contributions to the growth of online journalism in Delta State and Nigeria. He has also mentored many young journalists who are today making impact in the media industry,” the statement read.
According to DOPF, Elder Abiandu’s leadership as Vice Chairman has strengthened the Forum’s unity, credibility, and influence. The group said his wealth of experience and calm disposition have been instrumental in advancing DOPF’s vision of promoting responsible digital journalism.
The Forum further described him as “a media icon, a respected public relations strategist, and an elder statesman whose life exemplifies service, humility, and integrity.”
DOPF joined his family, friends and associates in thanking God for his life, praying for more years of good health, strength and greater accomplishments.
“May your wisdom continue to light the path for the media profession, and may your contributions remain a reference point for generations to come,” the statement added.
