Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has joined millions of faithful across the world to celebrate the Founder and Presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, on the occasion of his 72nd birthday anniversary.
Governor Oborevwori, in a congratulatory message released on Sunday in Asaba by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, described Bishop Oyedepo as a towering figure whose influence extends far beyond the church, touching education, leadership and national development.
The governor noted that for over four decades, the renowned cleric has remained steadfast in his calling, raising generations of Christians and providing spiritual direction to millions in Nigeria and beyond.
According to Oborevwori, Bishop Oyedepo is a rare gift to the body of Christ, whose undiluted teachings, mentorship and exemplary commitment to the work of God have shaped destinies and strengthened the faith of many.
He particularly lauded the Bishop’s visionary investment in education through the establishment of Covenant University, Ota and Landmark University, Omu-Aran, which he said have grown to become centres of academic excellence, moral discipline and youth empowerment in the country.
Oborevwori stated: “Bishop David Oyedepo is not just a father in the faith, but a role model whose life of service, integrity, discipline and visionary leadership continues to inspire millions, including myself.
“On behalf of my family, the Government and people of Delta State, I heartily rejoice with our father in the Lord, Bishop David Oyedepo, as he celebrates 72 remarkable years of impactful life dedicated to God and humanity.
“Your unwavering commitment to nation-building, your profound spiritual guidance, and your giant strides in youth empowerment through quality education are highly commendable. We are proud of your achievements and eternally grateful for the positive impact you have made on countless lives.”
The governor prayed for God’s continued grace upon the cleric, asking for renewed strength, sound health and long life to enable him sustain his invaluable service to the Church, the nation and humanity at large.
