With the 2027 elections drawing closer, the Warri Peace Ambassadors have endorsed Chief Sheriff Mulade for the House of Representatives seat representing Warri Federal Constituency.
The group also appealed to the Ijaw, Itsekiri, and Urhobo communities to unite and work together as political realignments begin.
The group also used the occasion to call for unity and a shared purpose among the Ijaw, Itsekiri, and Urhobo ethnic groups in the constituency.
According to the group, the 2027 polls go beyond routine politicking.
It described the election as a chance for patriotic citizens to elect credible and competent representatives at all levels of government.

“For us, the Warri Peace Ambassadors, the 2027 general elections is not just another season of electioneering. We are committed to performing our civic duty of mobilizing and voting credible political leaders,” the group stated.
“The 2027 general elections present to us once again another golden opportunity for truly patriotic citizens to choose competent leaders that are capable of representing their general interests, and Chief Sheriff Mulade is the right choice for the Warri Federal Constituency seat in the National Assembly.”
Speaking for the group, President Mrs. Tessy Oki and Secretary Friday Ugedi said that after reviewing the field of aspirants for the Warri Federal Constituency seat, they concluded that Mulade stands out as the candidate worthy of mass support from the electorate.
“Our position of advocating for support for Chief Mulade is centered on his long years of grassroots advocacy for the people of the Warri Federal Constituency and beyond.
His antecedents speak louder. He is a household name in the grassroots and a leader that is easily accessible to members of his constituents,” they said.
The group highlighted Mulade’s role as a United Nations peace ambassador and bridge builder, noting that he has consistently used sports and education as tools to foster peaceful coexistence among the Ijaw, Itsekiri, and Urhobo communities in the area.
“More importantly, Chief Mulade stands for peaceful coexistence among the Ijaw, Itsekiri and Urhobo ethnic nationalities in the Warri Federal Constituency.
As a United Nations’ peace ambassador and a bridge builder, he has over the years employed the weapon of sports and education to unite the people,” the statement read.
The Warri Peace Ambassadors called on members and supporters of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) to vote massively for Mulade, describing him as a trustworthy candidate committed to delivering governance that directly impacts the people.
“This is not a call based on sentiment, but one that is centered on competence, capability, exposure, and practical field knowledge to deliver efficient and effective representation to the people of Warri Federal Constituency. Warri residents should not miss this golden opportunity once presented to them.
It is time for a positive change in the Warri Federal Constituency,” the group concluded.
