Tantita Security Services Limited has called on communication scholars and professionals in Nigeria to join forces in the fight against oil theft.
Speaking at the Association of Communication Scholars and Professionals of Nigeria’s (ACSPN) 12th Annual Conference, Capt. Waredi Enisuoh, Executive Director of Operations and Technical at Tantita Security, emphasized the crucial role communication professionals can play in shaping public opinion against oil theft and promoting transparency in the oil sector.
He noted that oil theft is a significant form of corruption that undermines governance, national revenue, and community development. Enisuoh urged ACSPN members to leverage their expertise to expose oil theft, condemn vandalism, and advocate for transparency.
The Tantita executive director also highlighted the company’s achievements in reducing pipeline vandalism and oil theft through collaborations with security agencies and host communities. He stressed the need for sustained awareness and advocacy efforts to maintain these gains.
Enisuoh commended ACSPN for discussing corruption, governance, and media, and encouraged participants to research and raise awareness about the dangers of oil theft. He assured that Tantita Security Services Limited would continue to partner with stakeholders to protect Nigeria’s oil assets.
