Delta State First Lady, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori has inaugurated the Tobore Oborevwori Cottage Hospital in Ughelli North Local Government Area.
The hospital named after her, aims to provide accessible and affordable healthcare to residents.
The hospital is part of the local government’s efforts to deliver quality healthcare to the people, aligning with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s human-centered development agenda.
The hospital is equipped with modern facilities, including an ambulance and diagnostic equipment, enabling it to serve as a referral center for primary healthcare clinics.
Deaconess Oborevwori’s “You Mata Charity Foundation” recently conducted a free medical outreach for children with special needs in Ughelli, providing medications, wheelchairs, and assistive devices.
On his part. Hon. Jaro Egbo described the hospital as part of the local government’s strategic plan to strengthen the health system, emphasizing that “healthcare is not a privilege for a few, but a right for all.
Deaconess Oborevwori praised her husband’s reforms in the state’s health sector, citing the reduction of dialysis fees and provision of new medical equipment.
The First Lady urged residents to protect the facility from vandalism, stressing that sustainability depends on community ownership and cooperation
