The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State has elected Chief Solomon Arenyeka as its new State Chairman, with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori charging the newly constituted State Working Committee to begin preparations for the 2027 general elections.
The election was held through consensus at the Delta APC State Congress in Asaba, with other key officials also elected, including Elder Moses Iduh as Deputy Chairman and Chief Efe Uko as State Secretary.

Governor Oborevwori praised the outgoing executive led by Elder Omeni Sobotie for steering the party through a transition period and commended party members for their discipline and cooperation.
He charged the new executive to prioritize regular meetings, grassroots engagement, and voter mobilization efforts, emphasizing the need for victory in the 2027 polls.
The Governor reiterated his administration’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and performance under the MORE Agenda, highlighting achievements in infrastructure, healthcare, education, and other sectors.
The new Chairman, Chief Arenyeka, pledged to uphold the values of hard work, integrity, and teamwork, promising to justify the confidence reposed in him and the new executive.

The congress drew party leaders and stakeholders, with a charged atmosphere of celebration and unity as the Delta APC inaugurated a new leadership ahead of the next electoral cycle.
