Justice Peter Lifu granted the order following a suit filed by former Jigawa State Governor, Sule Lamido, who alleged that the PDP denied him the opportunity to purchase a nomination form for the office of National Chairman.

The court ruled that the PDP must comply with its constitution and guidelines before proceeding with the convention. It also barred the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from supervising or monitoring the convention until Lamido is allowed to participate.

*Key Highlights:*

– *Convention stalled*: Court stops PDP’s 2025 National Convention over convention irregularities.
– *PDP’s failure to comply*: Party denied Sule Lamido the opportunity to purchase a nomination form for National Chairman.
– *Court’s directive*: PDP must comply with its constitution and guidelines, allow Lamido to participate in the convention.
