Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has reaffirmed his commitment to prioritizing the needs of the people, stating that “in Delta, it is the people first.”

He made this declaration at the 50th birthday celebration of the Majority Leader of the Delta State House of Assembly, Engr. Emeka Nwaobi, emphasizing that his administration’s actions are guided by the interest of the people.

Oborevwori urged leaders to remember the vulnerable members of society, including widows and the less privileged. He emphasized that his administration will always prioritize the people’s needs, adding that “all these positions are temporary; the thing you will be remembered for is the service you rendered.”

The governor also cautioned contractors, stating that nobody is considered a friend when it comes to delivering quality services to the people. He assured that his administration will ensure that the state is not shortchanged, and that he will be remembered for the good things he achieved for the people
