Widows in Delta State’s Welfare Scheme have expressed heartfelt gratitude to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for promptly paying their October stipends.
The payment, made directly into the bank accounts of 10,000 verified widows, has brought relief and hope to thousands of vulnerable women struggling with emotional loss and financial uncertainty.
Chief Isioma Okonta, State Coordinator of the Widows Welfare Scheme, praised Governor Oborevwori’s leadership, describing it as compassionate and exemplary. He commended the governor’s consistency in releasing monthly stipends, noting that it has positively impacted the lives of disadvantaged Deltans.
The widows, who underwent thorough verification before enrollment, have also been registered for a Free Health Care Service, which is nearing completion. Many beneficiaries offered prayers for Governor Oborevwori, wishing him strength and divine guidance to continue his good works.
