PDP Stages Protest at US Embassy Over Democracy Concerns

Presidential candidate of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and The former Governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole have condemned the leadership of The Delta State Government , his Vice Presidential ticket and the Candidacy of Atiku.

The duo made this condemnation in their separate speeches at the All Progressive Congress Presidential / Governorship campaign flag off at Township Stadium , Warri, Delta State on Saturday.

The APC Presidential candidate claimed that the PDP while in government at the centre sold out nearly all of the nation’s assets to their proxies.

Tinubu described the 23 years of PDP leadership in Delta State as detoriorating period as no meaningful development has taken place.

The APC Presidential flag bearer accused Governor Okowa of being ignorant of development strategies

“They don’t know the way for development, they have no brains and don’t have the vision and road to prosperity. We know the way, go to Lagos and see development and progress.

“They have no shame. PDP has no shame. When Atiku was there he was fighting his boss in the public. They were telling us how they used public money to buy cars for their girlfriends. They have no shame.

But I will fulfill all my promises. I appreciate your show of love for me. It is an indication of your desire for change.”

He affirmed that Ovie Omo-Agege will be the next governor that will develop Delta State.

“Ovie Omo-Agege as governor of Delta State will work with me and bring hope and progress to the State. Your sea ports, your steel industry and many areas of development are not for sale but for development.” Tinubu said.

On his part , The former Governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole Oshiomhole charged Deltans to ask Governor Ifeanyi Okowa what he did with the
N250 billion from 13 per cent oil derivation that was paid to Delta State.

In his words
“Go and ask Okowa where is our N250 billion, Edo State got N100 billion, where is our N250 billion from 13 per cent oil derivation? You didn’t tell us the federal government gave you such money, now where is the money? Did you use it for your vice presidential election race?” he
stated

Comrade Oshiomhole who reiterated Governor nor Nyeosom Wike disclosure that President Muhammadu Buhari released a huge sum of unpaid funds accruing from 13 per cent oil derivation to oli producing states including Delta State and that the development going on in Rivers State were funded by the money called on Deltans to vote rightly to change the narrative of the state.

Earlier on, The All Progressive Congress Gubernatorial candidate, Senator Ovie Omo- Agege has called on Deltans to join forces with him to change the narrative of Delta State.

The Governorships candidate noted that Governor Okowa is of unstable character who cannot be trusted with the affairs of a State.

He claimed that the Delta State Governor
has engaged in an “ill-fated” adventure to become Vice President going against the decision of the South South governors of zoning the presidency to South, this he likened to the character of Judas Iscariot who betrayed Jesus in the Bible and spent money meant to develop the state for his political ambition.

Senator Omo -Agege pointed out that Delta State is in a state of “despair” and “destruct” adding that the state ought to be one of the richest States in the Niger Delta region considering its natural endowment especially with the federation account , 13%derivation and others received but there’s nothing to show in commensurate order.

‘Warri has become the headquarters of Keke capital in Delta State. the people are suffering in the midst of plenty, we need to change the narrative ‘ he stated.

‘ Okowa is busy taking loans. Delta is the most indebted State of all the States in the federation because of Okowa’s recklessness and he is bringing down his stooge who will continue from where he stopped’ he added.

He asked Deltans to vote for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to enjoy wealth creation, employment and empowerment for the citizens .

He added that he will reactivate the Warri and Koko ports and bring Delta back to it’s golden days where jobs will be created for its people.

‘there will be a review of the privatization of the Delta Steel Company,DSC as well as full provide full implementation for the Nigeria Maritime University, NMU.” he added.

Omo-Agege also assured Deltans that the EPZ will come back to reality.

“We have our chance to get rid of the tyranny of the PDP” pointing out that the educational credentials of the PDP governorship candidate is challengeable.

Highlights of the event was the handing of flags to Tinubu and Ovie Omo-Agege as presidential and Delta State governorship APC candidates.
