Senior Policy Adviser to the Delta State Governor and State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Solomon Funkekeme, says the engagement of Tantita Security Services Limited to guard Nigeria’s critical oil infrastructure has strengthened the economy and brought peace to the Niger Delta.

He stated this during an appearance on _Beyond The Headlines_ on TVC.

*Tantita’s Impact on Oil and Revenue*
Funkekeme commended President Bola Tinubu for handing the surveillance of oil installations to Tantita Security Services Limited, which is headed by High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo.

According to him, the company has been central to reducing crude oil theft, raising oil output, and improving revenue for the Federal Government, states, and local councils.

He described Tompolo as a proud son of the Niger Delta whose years of advocacy for the region have now produced real economic and security results for the country.

> _“There is peace in the region, oil is flowing properly and a lot of young men have been empowered. The President’s confidence in Tompolo is also a demonstration of trust in the people of the Niger Delta,”_ he said.

Funkekeme noted that Tantita’s operations have also generated jobs for thousands of youths across the Niger Delta, lowered insecurity, and ensured that crude oil moves without disruption.

*Praise for Tinubu’s Niger Delta Policies*
The former Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly also applauded the Tinubu administration for policies aimed at the Niger Delta and Ijaw communities. He cited the legal backing for the Nigerian Maritime University, Okerenkoko, and the establishment of an oil and gas medical facility in Benikruku as examples.

*Defense of Economic Reforms*
Funkekeme further defended the Federal Government’s economic reforms, saying they have freed up more funds for all levels of government and created a base for Nigeria’s long-term economic stability.

He acknowledged that the reforms may take time to yield full results, but insisted they are meant to secure lasting benefits rather than short-term popularity.

> _“Nigeria is too big for trial and error. These reforms prioritise the country’s long-term stability over immediate applause. The Nigerian people are the ultimate beneficiaries, and continuity is necessary to consolidate the gains already being recorded,”_ he said.

He warned that rolling back key policies such as the removal of fuel subsidy would reverse the progress made so far, and stressed that consistent reforms are needed to sustain growth and national development.
