Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has paid condolence visits to the families of the late Senator Peter Nwaoboshi and elder statesman Chief Emmanuel Nuel Ojei, describing their deaths as painful losses that have created significant gaps in the state.

During his visit to Senator Nwaoboshi’s family, Governor Oborevwori described the late senator as a courageous and outspoken leader who stood firmly by his convictions.
He recalled their long relationship dating back to 2006, when they agitated for equity and power rotation in Delta State.
The governor noted that Senator Nwaoboshi was a bold and principled leader who made tremendous impact in Delta North, and his passing has left a big vacuum in the region.
Governor Oborevwori also visited the family of Chief Emmanuel Nuel Ojei in Issele-Uku, Aniocha North Local Government Area, where he mourned the passing of the elder statesman. He described Chief Ojei as one of the finest leaders produced by the area, a patient, wise, and thoughtful man who always offered guidance and support.
The governor commiserated with the widow, Mrs. Vivian Ojei, her children, and the entire Ojei family, assuring them of the state government’s support.
In both visits, the governor extended condolences to the families and assured them of the state government’s support.
The families responded by thanking the governor for the visits, describing them as a source of comfort and assuring him of their prayers and continued support.
Elder Emmanuel Nwaoboshi on behalf of the Nwaboahi family and Mr. Nicholas Ojei, son of the deceased Chief Ojei, thanked the governor for the visit, describing it as a deeply comforting visit.
Nicholas Ojei promised to and pledged to uphold their father’s legacy.
