The family of the Azu of Elume Main Town, Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State, is deeply saddened to announce the passing of their beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, Evangelist Mrs. Elizabeth Azu Ovwile. She passed away at the age of 71, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, and service to her family, community, and church.
Evangelist Mrs. Elizabeth Azu Ovwile was a devoted Christian who hailed from Elume Main Town in Sapele LGA of Delta State. She was a pillar of strength to her family and community, and her commitment to her faith was evident in her active involvement in God’s Grace Ministry. She served God faithfully, touching lives through prayer, counsel, and service.
Evangelist Mrs. Elizabeth Azu Ovwile is survived by her children, including notable figures such as Mr. Austin Azu, a correspondent of News Central and member of the Delta Online Publishers Forum and the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations; Honourable Samuel Azu, Leader of the Sapele Legislative Arm; Rev. God’s Time Azu of God’s Grace Ministry; Akpuvie Azu; Happy Azu Omofuju; Victor Azu; Vera Aghogi; and Justice Azu. She was also a cherished grandmother whose legacy lives on through her children and grandchildren.
The family describes Evangelist Mrs. Elizabeth Azu Ovwile as a woman of unwavering faith in God, love for family, humility, and commitment to service. Her life remains a testimony of grace and godliness, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
The family will announce funeral arrangements in due course. In the meantime, they ask for prayers and support as they navigate this difficult time.
