The Resident Electoral Commissioner in the Adamawa State governorship election, Barrister Hudu Yunusa, has declared Senator Aisha Dahiru, popularly known as Binani, as the winner of the poll.
Yunusa made the declaration following the supplementary election held Saturday.
It was gathered that that the Electoral Act mandates the Returning Officer, not REC to announce such results.
