A 25 years Nigerian, Bethel Ikenna Chimezie has been reportedly shot after intruding into Guyana President’s House in the South American nation
Report says Chimezie, disarmed and wounded two members of the Presidential Guard stationed at the official residence of President Irfaan Ali.
According to Multiple media reports in Guyana, Chimezie struck at about 7.30am when he entered a security room located at the southern side of State House, demanding to see the president.
“I want the President [Mohamed Irfaan Ali])” he was quoted as saying, before pulling a knife from his waist and stabbing a member of the Presidential Guard five times to the neck and body.

Yet, the suspect managed to disarm a female member of her 9MM pistol, and moved to an adjoining street where he started shooting at the officers while Some passersby recorded the scene.
Law enforcement officers then gave him a chase and eventually overpowered him after shooting him.
He was subsequently taken from where he was writhing in pain from his gunshot wounds to Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) for immediate medical attention.
Also rushed to the hospital was the Presidential Guard he had shot.
Security agents in the South American nation, Guyana have however launched an investigation into the motive behind Thursday’s intrusion of the State House ,Georgetown, by a Nigerian living in the country.
The Guyana Police Force (GPF) has requested help from the International Police (INTERPOL) for a comprehensive background check on Chimezie who arrived in Guyana on March 13, 2020.
His last employment was in a cleaning company in the city but did not show up for work in the last ten days.
A report said he was previously employed with a security company
