The Imo State Police Command has made significant progress in combating crime, with 789 suspects arrested and multiple victims rescued in the past two months.
According to Commissioner of Police Aboki Danjuma, the arrests were made possible through partnerships with sister security agencies and community stakeholders.

– *Arrests:* 789 suspects arrested for various crimes, including:
– *Kidnapping:* Several kidnapped victims rescued, with nine freed in recent operations
– *Terrorism:* Suspected IPOB/ESN leaders arrested, including sub-commanders Uzoechi Okechukwu and Paschal Igbuogwu
– *Child Trafficking:* Four suspects arrested, with one-month-old baby rescued and reunited with mother
– *Recovered Items:*
– 17 firearms, including AK-47s and pump-action rifles
– 72 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition and 673 live cartridges
– Nine stolen motorcycles, explosives, charms, laptops, and mobile phones
– *Rescued Victims:* Seven stolen children and nine kidnapped victims freed, with most reunited with families
The police command’s efforts have been commended by Governor Hope Uzodimma, who has provided consistent support.
