The Executive Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Council, Hon Rawlings Dagidi Andaye, has reaffirmed the Ijaw Nation’s support for Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s reelection.

Hon Andaye made the statement during a reception held in honour of the state Governor at the Bomadi Local Government Council headquarters.

The Bomadi council chairman stated that Governor Oborevwori’s focus on inclusive governance and infrastructure development in riverine areas led to the endorsement.

Hon Andaye praised the administration for advancing projects like the Torugbene-Ojobo road and Ayakoromo Bridge, noting a move towards “constructive dialogue and partnership for sustainable development.”

The Bomadi Council Chairman thanked the Deita Ijaw Traditional Rulers Forum for attending and for honouring Governor Oborevwori with the title Izonebimiewei, recognizing his efforts in bringing development to Ijaw communities.

He also thanked Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, for showing solidarity to Delta Ijaws by attending the reception in honour of the Delta State Governor.

The event attracted a large gathering of traditional rulers, political stakeholders, and youth groups, marking a formal recognition of the Governor’s commitment to his “M.O.R.E Agenda”. This included his assurance that development would encompass all ethnic nationalities in Delta State.
