The Tompolo Foundation has partnered with the Delta State National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) to launch a training program aimed at enhancing the pedagogical skills of corps members.
This initiative, which kicked off on March 18, 2025, with 50 corps members in the first batch, seeks to equip teachers with the necessary skills to engage students effectively and inspire critical thinking
According to Chairman and Founder of Tompolo Foundation,
Chief Government Oweizide, the organization remains committed to initiatives promoting quality education.
He emphasized that education is the foundation of social transformation and that teachers play a crucial role in shaping society’s future
The training program addresses the pedagogical gaps among corps members, particularly those teaching in rural and riverine communities in Delta State by enhancing their teaching skills, the program aims to contribute to national development and strengthen the broader education system
The Tompolo Foundation has also been providing support to corps members, including stipends, accommodations, and other incentives, to encourage them to teach in rural and riverine areas
