According to the statement, the Delta Command Police Commissioner, Ari Muhammed directed a search on their hide out based on intelligence report on the 6TH of December 2022.

The statement reveals that one hundred and thirty (130) live cartridges were recovered as at the time the search was carried out.

Similarly, Dragon Patrol teams on stop and search duty along Warri/Sapele road arrested two suspects, one 35 Joshua Oweke of Gbulebu community in Edo State and Nicolas 25 years Binakeye of first road Akenfa in Bayelsa State were arrested for illegal pocession of arms on the 8Th of December 2022.

According to the statement, Dragon Patrol teams on stop and search ntercepted a black GLK mercedes Benz SUV with registration number BEN-734-EZ conveying two male occupants for a routine search. When a search was carried on the car and the passengers, one Barreta pistol, one locally made revolver pistol were recovered.

The PPRO says Exhibits are in custody of the police and investigation is ongoing.

Also, the statement disclosed that operatives of Eagle-net Special Squad deployed to Ughelli for the purpose of visibility policing and to complement the efforts of the Divisions in the area, received a distress call from a victim (Name withheld) on the said date, that his Lexus Saloon car with reg no. JRT670X Ash colour was snatched at gun point by three armed hoodlums and were heading towards Ughelli axis.

The operatives immediately swung into action, trailed the hoodlums and their unrelenting effort paid off when the suspects on noticing that the operatives were closing in on them, abandoned the car and escaped into the bush at Ewu near Otu-Jeremi, Ughelli South LGA.

The vehicle was recovered while manhunt for the fleeing suspect is ongoing.
