Director General of the Delta State Bureau for Orientation and Communications, Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, has said that Sheriff Oborevwori’s governance record will strongly resonate with voters in the 2027 governorship election.
Oghenesivbe mentioned on a radio show that Governor Oborevwori’s achievements in key areas are quite visible across the 25 Local Government Areas and three senatorial districts in Delta State, potentially making it challenging for opposition parties.
He highlighted that Governor Oborevwori’s administration has improved power supply in rural and urban areas, with plans to expand access in phases, boosting economic activities across riverine and upland areas of the state.
The DG Bureau explained that this progress is expected to boost small businesses and living standards statewide, adding that the government is also expanding social welfare services, supporting widows, women, and youths.
According to him, this administration has made improvements in the area of agriculture by investing in mechanized farming, youth empowerment, and farmer support through D-Care Programme and other initiatives, boosting agribusiness.
These efforts are positioning Delta as a food security leader, creating jobs and boosting rural development.
The Bureau Chief pointed out that there has been significant progress in education, with the upgrading of schools, hiring of teachers, expansion of vocational training, and opening of new university campuses to equip youths with skills for long-term growth.
