Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has extended heartfelt and warm Easter greetings to Christians across Delta State and Nigeria, urging them to stand firm and unwavering in their faith and to remain steadfastly committed to the teachings, values, and principles of Jesus Christ.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, Governor Oborevwori emphasized that Easter represents a profound and significant season of hope, sacrifice, and renewal, serving as a poignant reminder to believers of the triumph of light over darkness and life over death through the miraculous resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The Governor called upon Christians to draw immense inspiration from the exemplary virtues of love, humility, perseverance, and selflessness epitomized by Jesus Christ, stressing that such values are essential and crucial for building a more united, peaceful, and prosperous society.
Governor Oborevwori said, “This sacred season reminds us of the ultimate and supreme sacrifice of Jesus Christ, His glorious and triumphant resurrection, and the eternal hope it brings to humanity. As we commemorate the resurrection of our Lord, let us also renew our commitment to building a state and a nation where peace, justice, and brotherhood prevail.
“May the joy and hope of Easter fill your hearts and homes with love, peace, and happiness. Let us pray fervently for continued peace, prosperity, and divine guidance for our beloved state, Delta, and our great nation, Nigeria.
