Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori and Sir Monday Onyeme have been sworn in as Governor and Deputy Governor of Delta State amidst cheers from millions of Deltans and non-Deltans who thronged the Stephen Keshi Stadium, the venue of the inauguration ceremony.
The colourful event which began at 10:45am was were attended by captains of industry, top government functionaries within and outside the state, political, religious and traditional leaders and captains of industries across the country.
First to subscribe to the relevant oath of office at exactly 11:30am before the State Chief Judge, Justice Theresa Diai, who administered the oath, was the Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme.
Both Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori and Sir Monday Onyeme. Took the Oath of office as Governor and Deputy Governor at 11; 30 and 11:50am respectively.
