My attention has been drawn to the publications on several online news media including the Sahara Reporters concerning the purported sealing of my business premises and properties in Port Harcourt, Abuja, and Isoko as false News.
I want to start by assuring the good people of Isoko Federal Constituency that the said publications are false, misleading and that the handiwork of some people who are yet to come to terms with losing the elections and rather than pursue their matter at the Election Tribunal has resorted to desperate political blackmail and publication of falsehood.
For the avoidance of doubt, my person is not under any form of criminal investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission or any other Law Enforcement Agency. The purported ex parte Marava order being enforced is a civil action carried out by an overzealous individual motivated and sponsored by my political detractors and bad losers.
It is interesting to note that it is not a forfeiture order nor a conviction of any form in any Court of law and that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Nigerian AGIP Oil Company Limited, and some banks are parties to the said action.
My findings revealed also that the persons who purportedly carried out the purported sealing of both the company’s premises and my personal properties are not staff of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission but an overzealous staff of the Federal High Court and thugs hired by my political detractors. The Company Lawyers and my personal Lawyers are on top of the matter and have made the necessary motions to set aside the said ex parte marava motion and to take necessary legal actions against the persons involved.
I hereby appeal to all of my supporters and the good people of Isoko Federal Constituency to disregard the publications in their entirety.
I want to thank each and every one of you that has personally reached out to me over the issue.
Lastly, I want to assure my constituents that I will not be distracted from carrying out the mandate of delivering a qualitative representation to you as the Tenth Assembly will be inaugurated in a few days.
Thank you for your support.
Remain blessed.
