The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Sheriff Oborevwori as winner of the March 18, 2023 Governorhip and House of Assembly elections.
Oborevwori, a man Friday of the outgoing Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, polled a total of 360, 234 to dust Ovie Omo-Agege of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who scored 240, 229 and the LP Candidate who polled 48,047.
However, noteworthy is the fact that while the APC governorhip candidate grabbed 240, 229 votes in just four local government areas of the state, the PDP Candidate won in 21 LGAs with 360,234
