Oborevwori Approves 13th-Month Salary, 50% Pay Rise for Delta Civil Servants

Delta State Government has kicked off the construction of the Asaba Waterfront City, a landmark project aimed at transforming the state capital’s landscape.

Governor Sheriff who Oborevwori recently inspected the project site reveals that the state government’s role is to build a 6-lane access road to the new city, while developers will reclaim the land and develop the city ¹.

The project, conceived by the previous administration through a Public Private Partnership (PPP) model, is expected to revolutionize tourism and urban renewal in the area. Asaba is becoming increasingly attractive to property developers, with many flocking from Lagos to take advantage of the city’s comfort and hospitality.

Key features of the project include:

– *Access Road*: A 6-lane access road to be constructed by the state government
– *Land Reclamation*: Developers will reclaim the land and develop the city
– *Urban Renewal*: The project aims to transform the area into a modern, upscale city
– *Tourism*: The Asaba Waterfront City is expected to become a major tourist attraction

Governor Oborevwori assured that the project will be completed within the year, with the contractors promising to finish the road project by July. The state government has released funds for compensation to property owners and contractors, demonstrating its commitment to the project’s success.
