Sir Itiako Ikpokpo Malik a senatorial aspirant for Delta South, has taken his campaign to the Urhobo APC family in Warri South Local Government Area, seeking support for his bid.
He unveiled his C.L.U.E agenda as the framework for inclusive representation and development.

A former Chairman of Isoko South Local Government Area, formally declared his intention to contest the Senate seat under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), stressing that his aspiration is rooted in grassroots engagement and people-oriented leadership.
Addressing party leaders and members during the interactive session, the senatorial hopeful said his campaign is anchored on C.L.U.E — Communication, Legislate, Unite and Empower — a strategic approach he believes will reconnect leadership with the people and deliver measurable impact across Delta South.

“My team and I are engaging constituents across Delta South to understand their needs and expectations. Our agenda is clear — to communicate effectively, legislate for the people, unite our diverse communities, and empower our citizens,” he said.

He explained that effective communication between elected officials and constituents remains a critical gap in governance, noting that his administration would prioritize constant engagement and accessibility.
Malik added that his legislative focus would be tailored toward addressing pressing socio-economic challenges, including infrastructure deficits, youth unemployment, and limited economic opportunities in oil-producing communities.
He further emphasized the need to foster unity across the ethnic nationalities in Delta South, describing cohesion as essential for political stability and sustainable development.
Drawing from his experience in grassroots governance and as former Director-General of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Malik said he is well-equipped with the administrative capacity and leadership experience required to represent the district effectively at the National Assembly.

“The people are at the centre of my aspiration. They know me, and they can hold me accountable. Leadership must be accessible, responsible, and people-driven,” he stated.
While briefly dismissing recent endorsement claims in some parts of the district as a “non-issue,” Malik maintained that genuine political legitimacy can only be earned through sustained engagement with the electorate.
He called for unity within the APC, urging party leaders to ensure a transparent and credible process in the selection of candidates ahead of the 2027 elections.
Malik also reaffirmed his support for President Bola Tinubu and Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, calling for consolidation of governance gains through massive electoral backing.
In their response, leaders of the Warri Urhobo APC Forum, including Chairman Chief Bernard Okumagba, Secretary Chief Vincent Okudolor, and Woman Leader Ann Gagiyovwu, commended Malik’s consultative approach, describing it as a demonstration of inclusive leadership.
They emphasized the need for internal democracy and broad-based participation in the party’s decision-making process, while reaffirming their commitment to the re-election of President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori.
The consultation forms part of Malik’s ongoing tour across Delta South, as he seeks to build consensus and strengthen grassroots support ahead of party primaries and the 2027 general elections.
He introduced his C.L.U.E agenda, which focuses on Communication, Legislation, Unity, and Empowerment, with the goal of reconnecting leadership with the people and driving progress in Delta South.
