Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has been praised for his people-centered governance and institution-building initiatives, which are laying the groundwork for a new Delta State focused on sustainability and long-term transformation.
Rev. Fr. Peter Awharemuire, Paris Priest of St. Williams Catholic Church, Orerokpe, made this commendation during the 70th Thanksgiving Mass of Lady Doris Onoriode Ejinyere, which Governor Oborevwori attended as a special guest.

According to Rev. Fr. Awharemuire, Governor Oborevwori’s emergence as the state’s Chief Executive was divinely ordained, and his leadership is guided by the Spirit of God.
The cleric noted that the visible progress recorded across critical sectors such as infrastructure, education, healthcare, security, and community development is evidence of divine guidance and purposeful leadership

The Oborevwori administration has made significant strides in building enduring systems in security, education, infrastructure, and governance, which is why the state is witnessing a new era of transformation.
Rev. Fr. Awharemuire emphasized that this transformation is designed to benefit not just the present generation but future ones, saying, “What is being built today is not for a few individuals, but for the entire Delta State and generations yet unborn”

Governor Oborevwori was described as a man of uncommon courage, and his achievements have already secured a permanent place in the political history of the state.
The cleric prayed for the Governor’s continued wisdom, humility, and caution, assuring him of the Church’s continued prayers for divine guidance and peace in the state ².
In response, Governor Oborevwori congratulated Lady Ejinyere on her 70th birthday, praising her integrity, strength, and commitment to family and service. Lady Ejinyere, in turn, expressed gratitude to her family, friends, and well-wishers, commending Governor Oborevwori’s achievements and praising his compassion and sacrifices
