The Delta Online Publishers Forum (DOPF) is set to host its 2025 Convention and Annual Lecture, featuring prominent experts in finance, law, business, and academia.
The event, scheduled for November 27, 2025, at David’s Event Centre in Asaba, will discuss the implications and opportunities of Nigeria’s new tax law.
The theme of the lecture is “Nigeria’s New Tax Law: Implications and Opportunities for Businesses and Society.” Keynote speaker Associate Prof. Ochuko Benedict Emudainohwo will lead the discussion on the new tax legislation, which is set to take effect on January 1, 2026.
A panel of distinguished professionals, including Delta State Commissioner for Economic Planning, Mr. Sonny Ekedayen, accounting lecturer Mr. Victor Fegor Origho, legal practitioner Barr. Martins Oyem Aghaobodo, Vice-Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, Barr. Ikpesu Gideon Jade, and President of DACCIMA, Engr. Tony Okoh, will provide insights on the tax law’s impact on governance, business operations, and national development.
The event is expected to attract senior government officials, industry leaders, civil society groups, and media practitioners. Governor Sheriff Oborevwori is slated to attend as Special Guest of Honour.
The DOPF Convention and Annual Lecture has become a credible platform for civic and policy dialogue in Delta State.
