The aim of the summit is to provide CEOs of global vaccines and biologics companies the opportunity to share and shape ideas on the theme, and also to underscore the need to launch international stage-efforts on the nature of creativity and innovation required to contain any future health pandemic.

As reported by Vanguard, Femi Adesina, the special adviser to the President on media and publicity, in a statement said that Nigeria was invited to the summit together with other five African countries by WHO and the European Union (EU) during the last EU-African summit that was held in Brussels, Belgium in february this year.

Adesina also confirmed that President Buhari would be delivering a statement in the summit. He said Buhari will meet privately with president Yoon Suk-yeol of the Republic of Korea, and also engage in other meetings to seek other ways of more effective partnership that will impact positively on the lives and safety of Nigerians.
