The Ovie of Idjerhe Kingdom, King Monday Arthur Whiskey, has called on President Bola Tinubu to honor Chief Government Ekpemupolo, also known as Tompolo, with a national award.
The monarch made the call while addressing newsmen at his palace in Idjerhe, Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State.
He explanined that Tompolo, Chairman of Tantita Security Services Limited, has been instrumental in increasing oil production to 1.8 million barrels per day, as reported by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL)
The monarch who praised Tompolo’s efforts in combating oil theft, restoring the environment, and creating employment opportunities for youths in the Niger Delta area and noted that his firm, Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, is the only one performing exceptionally well in the region congratulated the staffs and management of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited.
The monarch however appealed to the federal government to expand the Tantita Security Project, increase funding, and regularize workers’ salaries. He believes that Tompolo deserves a national award for his contributions to oil production and environmental protection.
‘’Tompolo is not only protecting national installation but has gone extra mile to take the highest risk of what many cannot do.
The situation today is that Tompolo is singlehandedly fighting the oil cabals, the oil cabal that was siphoning the country oil. And if we look at it very critically, there are three major things that Tompolo’s Tantita is achieving today hence he deserves national honour for his contributions to oil production’’ Delta monarch tells Tinubu
Tompolo’s recent Achievements:
- Increased Oil Production: Tompolo’s efforts have led to an increase in oil production from less than 1 million barrels per day to 1.8 million barrels per day.
- Environmental Restoration: Tompolo has helped restore the environment in the Niger Delta area, which had been degraded by oil spills.
- Job Creation: The Tantita Security Project has created employment opportunities for youths in the region, exposing them to high-tech facilities.
