The flag bearer of the Labour Party.Peter Obi has won Delta State in the just concluded general election.

Delta State is being governed by running mate to the Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa

Results announced by the Delta State Presidential Election Collation Officer (SCOPE), Prof. Owunari Abraham Georgewill of the University of Port-Harcourt on Tuesday, 28th February, 2023, at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Delta State Headquarters, Asaba, saw LP garnering a total of 341,866 votes to defeat the PDP that polled 161,600 votes.

The APC clinched the third spot with 90,183 votes.

INEC also gave the totak number of Registered Voters as 3,225,046 and Accredited Voters as 667,149.

Adding: Total Valued Votes -615,342; Rejected Votes -39,309 and Total Votes Cast -654,650.
