The Delta State Gubernatorial candidate of All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, Olorogun Great Ogboru says his manifesto tagged Jubilee Agenda is anchored on the word of God in Luke chapter 4 verses 18.
The verse is centred on a message to the poor, broken hearted and giving freedom to the captives.
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,”
Olorogun Ogboru who made this known at the presentation of his manifesto and unveiling of his campaign council on Wednesday in Asaba says it was delivered to him directly by God.
He says the jubilee agenda was handed to directly by God to give Deltans
Dividend of democracy which they have lacked in the democratic rule of the People’s Democratic Party since 19199.
Accordingly to him , APGA’s philosophy in participating in the forthcoming governorship election in Delta state is based on the belief that a responsible government should believe in social change and that wealth and power should be shared fairly. Importantly, that a people’s wealth should be spent on their security, welfare and wellbeing of the ordinary man .
APGA aims to reorganise and reenergise Delta state where compassionate government policies will lead to social justice and social development.
The APGA Gubernatorial candidate says his party is in sync with his vision as he is committed to the principle behind the Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs :
That no one should be left behind.
He says the APGA Point Jubilee Agenda derives from the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals- SDGs. It is a blueprint and a call to action towards ending poverty and defeating hunger, promoting quality education, good healthcare and Justice, protecting the environment , among other critical issues and thus achieving a better, more peaceful, prosperous and sustainable life for all Deltans.
The Jubilee Agenda encapsulates the party’s seven point Jubilee programme which focuses on
*Agricultural Development and food security
*Re-orietation human capital, security, social security , welfare and Youth development.
*Investment in areas of comparative advantage
*Equal opportunity local government development initiative
*Education
*Health
*Environment; Rural and urban regeneration
On his part, the Delta State AGA party Chairman Elder Enemokwu Afamefune says
APGA is a movement of political struggle to to bring together all potentials, efforts to work for the good of the state.
He urged all to forget any personal political differences but work in synergy with all party members with a focus on moving into the Delta State Government House to change the narrative.
