The publisher of Isoko Mirror, who is also an author, Felida Osede Essi, is set to unveil her new book titled “Isoko Book of Outstanding Personalities.
This was made available to trackupnews in a statement by the author.
According to Felida Osede Essi, The book is written out of her zeal to project the people of Isoko located in Delta and parts of Bayelsa state, in Nigeria’s Niger Delta region to the world
The book launch which will come up on the 3rd of November 2023 at Mano Hotel Suites in Oley, Isoko South Local Area of Delta State at 11: am will have some outstanding personalities celebrated.
ABOUT THE BOOK:
The Isoko book of outstanding personalities is a compendium of dramatis personae in Isoko who have one way or the other shaped the history and development of Isoko as a people.
It is able to chronicles the toils and achievements of individual Isoko sons and daughters, through whose eyes and effort, the story of a people who are from an integral part of ” NIGERIA” has been told.
Apart from being a compendium of persons, it also contained comprehensive and detailed articles by some renowned Isoko scholars from different areas of specializations.
Some of the “ARTICLES” dwelled on some fundamental issues such as: health, education, environmental degradation and under-development” of the Isoko Nation.
It is interesting to note that, some of the scholars had personal experiences of the issues that the articles discussed.
Therefore, it is pertinent to say that, on the day of unveiling the book ” we shall be celebrating our Isoko inventors, creators and some outstanding Isoko social-clubs and individuals who have done credibly well and impacted positively on the generality of the Isoko people”
